The Cyprus Property Action Group resulted from a meeting in Peyia on 12th April 2007, which was held to discuss problems arising from the purchase of property in Cyprus.
The meeting was attended by some 80 people and the many issues discussed included:
- Certificates of Final Approval
- Title Deeds
- Selling Property without Title Deeds
- Immovable Property Tax
- Risks of Buying 'Off Plan'
- Devaluation of Properties by Adjacent Developments
- Lack of sustainable infrastructure (water, sewerage, drainage, etc)
Since then other significant areas of concern such as developments on unstable ground and unfinished developments have been raised by worried purchasers.
The meeting was conducted by Linda Leblanc, David Ball and Denis O'Hare, and resulted in the setting up of the Cyprus Property Action Group. We are a network of volunteers to assist - where possible – property purchasers with the problems they are experiencing and also to lobby the Authorities.
The Group members are: Denis O'Hare, Linda Leblanc and David Ball.
