About Us

The Cyprus Property Action Group resulted from a meeting in Peyia in Spring 2007, which was held to discuss problems arising from the purchase of property in Cyprus.

Since then the group's efforts have spread to cover support to all areas of the Republic and has also evolved into a network of self-help individual developer action groups and resident associations. We also have ties with the Greek Cypriot-run 'Cyprus Property and Landowners Association' and previously established resident associations.

The issues we initially covered included areas such as:

Since then other significant areas of concern such as developments on unstable ground and unfinished developments have been raised by worried purchasers.

The meeting resulted in the setting up of the Cyprus Property Action Group.

We are a network of volunteers to assist - where possible – property purchasers with the problems they are experiencing and also to lobby the Authorities for change to the unsatisfactory situation which many buyers find themselves in as a result of purchasing property in Cyprus.

The British High Commission is fully supportive of our aims
and takes a keen interest in our activities

Denis O'Hare is the group's spokesman.
