Buying Off Plan
We understand that many people who have bought properties 'off plan' have taken delivery only to find that the developer has broken some of the 'promises' he made at the time of sale.
The buyers of the properties shown in the photo on the right were promised "nothing will be built in front of you". But when these 'off plan' buyers came to Peyia to see the completed development, they found another building directly in front of them totally blocking their view. Can you please help us quantify the scope and scale of this problem.
If you feel that a property developer has broken a promise he made to you at the time of the sale, can you please let us know:
Details of the promise(s) made (e.g. "no-one will build in front of you", "your view will not be blocked", "I will put in granite worktops at no extra cost", etc, etc).
Were those promises written into your Contract of Sale?.
The name of the property developer from whom you bought the property.
Any other detail or information that you feel is relevant.
